Twitter in Focus: Garfunkel and Oates
on May 30, 2012 at 12:01 amHey bros!
Welcome to Twitter in Focus where media comes to die. Today’s contestants are Garfunkel and Oates, AKA: Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci. They make a lot of funny, quirky songs. Let’s see how they tweet.
May 13th: “G & O Hosts a Karaoke Party on Your iphone! http://www.buzzfeed.com/samanthapitchel/garfunkel-and-oates-host-a-karaoke-party-on-your-i-6318”
Hi tech hipsters. Nice.
May 16th: “Yes! Steve is back. RT @adailysingalong @garfunkeloates Avengers fans got ahold of your song & spawned this beauty: http://tinyurl.com/c2by7xl.”
A reference to this song. Funny.
May 17th: “Today @thejoelstein 1st book, Man Made, comes out. Not sure when @thejoelstein will come out. http://amzn.to/J2y02r #ManMade”
I think they just called you gay, Joel Stein.
May 19th: “Writing a new song today! Yay! It’s called The Fadeaway. Yay!”
Cute. Not as cute as you two making out, but cute.
May 25th: “Just filmed a new couch video for our song 29/31. Should be out tomorrow!”
Visit their website to see. Funny.
May 28th: “Arizo-no-you-didn’t.”
Did something happen in Arizona on May 28th? Damn you Internet. I finally missed something and it’s all your fault.
10 hours ago: “Our new couch video is up! In this song, we play the same woman, two years apart. Here is 29/31!! http://youtu.be/H-gfxjAaZg0”
I like it. The t-shirts are nice touch as well. This’ll be a nice piece for your live show. Probably a finisher.
Okay, let’s rate G&O’s tweets. I don’t review a lot of bands, but this one was definitely worth reviewing. Funny, entertaining, could use a little bit more behind-the-scenes. I give it a 7 for Insanity, 8 for Mustness and 9 for Style. That’s an overall score of 8. Follow G&O, bros. Plus you can catch some of their links on Collegehumor.com
