Movies You Missed: A Band Called Death

This is probably one of the most amazing music documentaries I’ve seen in a long time. Death was a band started by three brothers in Detroit in the 70’s. The amazing thing about their sound is that the brothers were playing punk music before punk music exploded onto the scene in the 80’s.
Without giving too much away, the band never had any success when they were creating music, but the lead singer, David, stood by his vision. Long after the band broke up, David’s music found it’s audience over 30 years later. But probably the best thing about the documentary is that it introduces you to the first and only album from the band. Any fans of punk will be amazed at how far ahead of its time David Hackey’s sound was.
