Coffee Town stars Ben Schwartz (Gino), Steve Little (Chad) and Glenn Howerton (Will, AKA: Dennis, from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) as three friends who hang out at a local coffee shop.  When the shop is threatened with a redesign that will turn it into a bistro, Will decides they need to rob it to make the location unappealing enough so it will stay a coffee shop.

This is a College Humor movie and it was pretty solid.  It features a lot of lower tier comedic actors in solid performances.  Schwartz carries a good portion of the movie as a wacky cop.  Steve Little (who you might remember from East Bound and Down) is also pretty funny as Chad the office drone who is dying for a little excitement.  Howerton, as Will, is the guy pining for the girl, so he’s not the manic Golden God from Sunny.  Still, the movie gives him an opportunity to showcase more of his comedic talent and Brad Copeland’s script (who also directed) gives us nice little detours like the fight between the Down Syndrome guy and Chad.

The guy who steals the show, however, is Josh Groban, as a douchebag coffee barista with a band.  Groban’s and Howerton’s rivalry over the hot girl, Becca, is pretty funny.

I had heard good things about this flick from the Sunny fans on Reddit and the movie did not disappoint.  It’s currently running on HBO on Demand until the end of October and is free.  You could do way worse, bros.
