I’m not sure what part of this place is supposed to be European. My brother goes here a bit, so he knew the place. Always referred to it as Jester’s. It does have tables outside, but it was humid as Hell and storming, so we went in. I think “European” is a description that’s kinda vague. I mean, unless the menu is going to have one dish from every country in Europe, jamming the menu full of pizza and Italian dishes kinda makes it more Italian than anything else. Not that I mind, I just think the description is weird.
The prices are a little higher, but the quality is there. I got the Volcano Burger. (Not exactly European.) It was tasty, cooked right and came with fries. I also got a house salad which was good. My brother got a pesto dish with pasta and fried tomatoes. He tends to be a fussy eater and didn’t like the pesto sauce. I tasted it and thought it was fine.
Our waitress was pretty attentive and friendly. We decided to wait out the storm, so I also got desert which was strawberries and cream. That seemed a little European. They were good. Overall, it’s a nice place. Would be a nice date place, but I get the impression it’s trying to be a little fancier than it actually is. I would either make the menu fancier or go for a more sports bar feel. It’s worth stopping by if you’re in Bordentown.
I give Jesters 7 out of 10 keggers.
