With the sequel coming out, I felt it was long overdue that I see this movie.
Sicario is a dreary, drug epic about the pointless Drug War and how it impacts people’s lives. In some scenes, it gets a little too full of itself and Benicio Del Toro’s Alejandro character is given a pretty big justification for his behavior so you will like him. Other than that, it feels gritty and realistic.
Josh Brolin is, as always, great in his role. (Although a little too gleeful at points.) Overall, I like the movie. Emily Blunt’s character is good, but I can see why she’s not in the sequel. (minor spoiler) It’s her character’s arc that we follow in the movie, even though Del Toro almost overwhelms it. See it, bros. Especially if you’re going to the sequel.
Restaurant: Manco’s Pizza
Address: Ocean City Boardwalk
Food: Pizza
Price: High
Portions: Average
Taste: Great
Service: Good
Atmosphere: Busy
At the Ocean City Comic Con, my nephew and I were starving. He suggested Manco’s and I said okay. I forgot how good this pizza is. It’s really good.
They were very accommodating, making us a half white/half red pizza. Both sides were delicious.
The price, however, as with most things on the boardwalk was high. Two drinks and a large pizza ran about $32. It’s good. Definitely worth getting a slice, but a whole pie? It’s just— Well that’s pretty high. And considering you probably will end up eating it standing up because the place is so crowded— Well, there’s no denying the taste.
Despite all their alleged past problems, they are still raking it in and they should. The pizza is awesome.
I give Manco’s Pizza 7 out of 10 keggers.
